The 21st century's technology has strengthened this connection, bringing people closer together than ever before. We are now linked to people on every continent-socially through media and communications, culturally through movement and migration, and economically through trade.

 

In this increasingly globalized world, the success and happiness of future generations will depend on their ability to perform as a “Global Citizen”. They must acquire the skills to think and act on a global level, with respect for different cultures and an understanding of alternate perspectives. With this knowledge, children will be able to participate in all layers of community from local to global, guided by compassion and the courage to make the world a peaceful place.

Global Citizenship guides children through an investigation into the major challenges facing the world. Through lessons on diversity and interconnectivity, they are equipped with the tools necessary to become versatile and responsible Global Citizens.
