Our natural world is our sanctuary. Nature provides humans with everything we need to survive and thrive. But this relationship is a two-way street. Just as nature determines our wellbeing, so too do humanity's actions determine the wellbeing of nature. We see the effects of human activity through environmental concerns like global warming, forest depletion and an ongoing energy crisis. We are becoming increasingly aware of the impact our actions have on the environment. For the survival of Earth and those who inhabit it, we must now ensure that this impact is a positive one.

This emphasis on sustainability should be at the heart of all we do. Both in our businesses and daily lives, we mustconsider how our actions affect the world around us. In order to do so, children must first build a relationship with the environment. They must learn about their connection to the environment and how to have a positive influence through their actions. Such knowledge and commitment will enable future generations to act responsibly to ensure their own success and the success of our planet.

Sustainability equips children with knowledge about the natural world and emphasizes the interdependence between the environment and humankind. By studying environmental problems in creative ways, they learn how to think innovatively and are instilled with a commitment to live sustainably.
