LEARNING AT SMART
SMART recognizes that to stimulate children to think innovatively, it is necessary to teach innovatively.

That’s why SMART utilizes a unique learning program called DIGS.

DIGS encapsulates the mission of SMART through its four basic pillars:

Dreamcatching
Inner Values
Global Citizenship
Sustainability

DIGS is designed to engage students of all different learning preferences and styles. At SMART EcoPark, lessons are not just seen and heard-they are smelled, touched, thought, sung, danced, dreamt, performed, felt, and even tasted.

Adapted from Harvard University’s multiple intelligences theory, the DIGS modules aim to holistically address all potential learning needs: Linguistic, Logical-Mathematical, Musical, Bodily-Kinesthetic, Spatial-Visual, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Naturalist, Spiritual-Existential, and Moral. DIGS and its interdisciplinary approach to learning was created by SMART in collaboration with education experts from around the world, including Mr. Nick Lane, former Head of Education for Hyde Park in London, England.
